YAG iridotomies are done to prevent angle closure glaucoma in patients who have narrow angles and are at risk for angle closure. It is a straightforward procedure done by both our surgeons.

We highly encourage each patient to call their insurance company and inquire on cost prior to surgery. The patient should find out if their insurance will need a prior authorization and if insurance will cover the procedure or not.
